The Little Picnic at Vranyczany Plateau - An Oasis for Summer Refreshment

Combining the concepts of natural and local food with the unique atmosphere of the Upper Town, the famous “mobile market” Mali plac s tavana (The Little Market from the Attic) has created a completely new summertime story, the Little Picnic on Vranyczany Plateau.

Starting on 3 August, every Thursday the park at Vranyczany Plateau will be transformed into a pleasant oasis for a refreshing summertime treat with an attractive gastronomic offering. In the centre of the city small local producers will be presented with tasting of “food from the source” for which the Little Market is well known, all in a relaxed atmosphere, a self-service version of a real picnic gathering. All of this will enable visitors at the Little Picnic to linger longer and explore all the nooks and crannies of Upper Town and in so doing enjoy an interesting culinary offering in a laid back Old Town atmosphere.

At the Little Picnic you’ll find a varied gastronomic offering from a variety of Croatia’s regions, prepared in a healthy and innovative way with fresh ingredients. The Little Picnic offers you the chance to take a break on a blanket and drink in the view of the city, as well as refreshing fruit and vegetable cocktails, Croatian wines, seasonal fruit, organic ice cream, nuts and delicacies such as raw cakes and goat’s cheese.

The Little Picnic is held in the Upper Town during August, every Thursday afternoon 18:00-23:00.
