Dear friends and business partners!

I believe all of you welcomed the time when we can enjoy outdoor spaces and greater opportunities for travelling and mingling with a lot of excitement. All of this is felt in the streets of Zagreb which are bustling with more and more visitors, of course in line with epidemiological measures. They are enjoying the atmosphere of the city and its numerous opportunities together with citizens of Zagreb.

Open-air concerts, exhibitions and festivals are once again organised in Zagreb and we are aware of it more than before. In addition to tours of interesting city attractions, the nearby mountain Medvednica and its summit Sljeme also provide an opportunity for recreational sports. There is also a special new companion to help you see them; a digital app.

While visiting Zagreb’s attractions, on your way from the Lower to Upper Town you will reach the Stone Gate. There you will find a statue of Virgin Mary of the Stone Gate who is the patron of the City of Zagreb and whose day we celebrated on 31 May.

However, even though nice weather and high vaccination numbers mitigated the effects of the pandemic significantly, we would like to remind you to stay responsible. Also search for the designation “Safe Stay in Croatia”, which hotels and other tourism facilities in Zagreb use to prove they are implementing epidemiological measures.

By complying with the measures, we are keeping citizens of Zagreb as well as you, our guests, safe.

Welcome!

Yours faithfully,

Martina Bienenfeld, PhD

Zagreb Tourist Board Director
