The international street festival Cest is d'best was founded in 1997 and today it is the oldest street festival in Croatia. Owing to open-air multimedia festival events, this year the centre of Zagreb will once again get a new appearance, activities and atmosphere from 19th to 22nd August. Traditionally the festival, which is supported by the Zagreb Tourist Board, encompasses programmes for children and adults, such as attractive competitions, visual art installations, sporting and other programmes. There are also a number of stages scattered around the city centre, on Ban Josip Jelačić Square, Cvjetni Square, Bogovićeva Street, Tkalčićeva Street, Zrinjevac Park and also the Strossmayer promenade in the Upper Town.
Buskers´ performances give an additional touch to the atmosphere in the city. In addition to many other activities, preparations are underway to build a centre for urgent and minor mood improvements which is both interesting and timely. And who does not need it in the times in which we live?
