A Concert Treat in Dom Sportova – Texas Play Zagreb for the First Time

Scottish group Texas in Zagreb’s Dom sportova on 30 September bring us the greatest hits from an impressive career spanning over 30 years.

Texas in Croatia for the first time! At their premier appearance in Croatia the famous Scottish band led by charismatic Sharleen Spiteri will perform the songs which made them one of the most significant pop rock bands from the British Isles in the last 30 years. This band has sold more than 40 million albums, and each of them has on it a massive hit such as their debut “I Don’t Want a Lover”, and ultimate megahits such as “Say What You Want”, “Black Eyed Boy”, “Halo”, “Put Your Arms Around Me”, “Carnival Girl”, “In Demand”, “Inner Smile” and “Summer Sun”. Texas will be playing all of these during their very first appearance in Zagreb.

The band was formed in Glasgow in 1986 by Sharleen Spiteri and Johnny McElhone, finding inspiration for the name from Wim Wenders’ film “Paris, Texas”. Their first single “I Don’t Want a Lover”, released in 1989, was a massive hit, and Sharleen quickly became one of the most prominent vocalists of the 1990s.
