A Cycling Pageant – the Croatia – Slovenia International Cycling Race

Cyclists from all over Europe in the race which connects people.

When the Grič cannon fires at noon on 26 August, a horde of cyclists will set off on a 180 km long trip. The Zagreb Cycling Club, organiser of the annual Croatia – Slovenia Cycling Race, will gather them this year for the 11th time. Cyclists from several European countries will head off from the centre of Zagreb to ride through the city, then via Zaprešić, Brežice and Krško to reach the finish line at Novo Mesto. This race of friendship and good cheer will once again be started by city dignitaries; the column of cyclists will be seen off by the Zagreb Majorettes to give them the impetus to ride this challenging trail in the hot summer weather. Whether you’re a professional cyclists or just cycling mad, it’s well worth making your way to the start of this race on 26 August which every year attracts more and more fans.
