If you are a fan of sports and American food, Brewdogs – an American restaurant and sports bar which was recently opened on Gajeva Street in the heart of the city, is the perfect place for you. The complex spreads across 400 square meters and two floors. Apart from offering various American foods, Brewdogs is also a great venue for watching televised broadcasts of major sporting events. The interior design is the work of architect Milan Vrančić, a former sprinter and member of the Croatian bobsled team, whose main goal was to create a warm ambiance which inspires people to come with friends, have a beer and enjoy American food while watching sports. He achieved this by using natural materials and warm colours that dominate the space. The walls are strewn with numerous photos of world and Olympic champions, famous Croatian athletes and their autographed jerseys, as well as interesting moments captured by camera at major sporting events. Apart from indoors, guests can also spend time on the beautiful terrace in the courtyard of the Archaeological Museum, where they can enjoy tasty American food prepared by Chef Mario Vešligaj, an avid sports fan and passionate gastro traveller himself. He oversees the preparation of all the food, including the well known American specialties such as various burgers, salads, steaks, spare ribs, chicken wings and American pancakes. In addition to that, Brewdogs also offers ten sorts of beer on tap.
