Musicology Barcaffé Sessions comes to Zagreb this year! Zagreb will host three concerts from the Musicology Barcaffé Sessions series, opening in Tvornica kulture on 6 October with Italian jazz and soul singer Mario Biondi.
An unusual crossover concert, Rock the Opera, which opens the new OFF season, awaits us on 12 October in the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall. Conductor Friedemann Riehle, the Vocal Soloists and the Zagreb Philharmonic will cover hits from the biggest names in rock music: Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, AC/DC, Queen, Led Zeppelin, U2 and more… in a symphonic style!
Zagreb’s Dom sportova will host Jethro Tull on 13 October. This cult British band is coming to Zagreb as part of a tour marking 50 years since the release of their debut album “This Was”. The same day David Garrett, one of the most successful contemporary pop and crossover violinists, is appearing in Zagreb Arena.
Jazz.hr/Autumn 2018 from 17 to 21 October brings us a range of concerts in the Kontesa Jazz & Cabaret Club. The Jef Neve trio, Marcin Wasilewski Trio, Zoran Majstorović and guest star Joe Lock and Ambrose Akinmusire Quartet will be performing.
For the first time in Croatia, on 27 October Jason Derulo, the American R’n’B, hip hop and pop singer, songwriter and dancer will be performing. Teen sensations Marcus & Martinus will be special guests at Derulo’s concert.
