Accessible Zagreb: Online Service to Check Accessibility

Accessibility of facilities and tourist attractions is an important issue for many citizens and visitors of Zagreb, especially those with mobility difficulties. An online service “Accessible Zagreb” (Pristupačni Zagreb in Croatian) provides answers to many of their questions.

Does a theatre, a hotel or a restaurant have a parking space for persons with disability, is it accessible by wheelchair, and is there a suitable toilet and elevator? What is the width of external and other doors in it? The new online service of the City of Zagreb “Accessible Zagreb” will provide answers to many questions that persons in wheelchair face. It provides information about accessibility of various facilities in public, private and civil sector and it is connected to a navigation service Google Maps. Currently there is data about around 2500 facilities available on the web site and the number is destined to grow.

Depending on accessibility, the facilities are categorised as accessible, not accessible or partly accessible. Data on access to the facility, entrance in it as well as about the interior is available for each facility and illustrated by photographs. For ease of reference facilities are categorised as belonging to the field of culture, education, sports, catering, administration, social services and health care. There are subcategories and a search engine within each category and searching can be done using a search engine on the initial web page of the site. The service is connected to Google Maps in order to facilitate navigation and planning.

Check accessibility of the facility you would like to visit at https://pristupacni.zagreb.hr  and in Google Play Store.
