An opera diva - Anja Harteros at Lisinski

On November 7th, the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall will be the venue for a concert by the renowned German opera diva of the younger generation, Anja Harteros, who has been proclaimed the soprano of the century by the critics.

Among the many music events taking place at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, a concert by the German opera diva of the younger generation, Anja Harteros, is scheduled to take place on November 7th. The renowned singer of German-Greek descent will perform with the backing of the Pannon Philharmonic of Pecs, an orchestra which was founded more than two hundred years ago, and is currently conducted by the most successful Croatian conductor of the younger generation – Ivan Repušić.

The music critics call Anja Harteros the soprano of the century due to her convincing stage performances, exquisite voice control and musical sensibility. She has been hailed the best singer in the world, and she won the 2015 International Opera Award as well as many other major recognitions. She is a regular guest at the most prestigious opera houses worldwide, including the New York Metropolitan, the Scala of Milan, London’s Covent Garden, the State Opera of Bavaria and Munich, and the Viennese State Opera, where she has been conducted by greats such as Zubin Mehta, Lorin Maazel, sir John Eliot Gardiner and many others.

At her Zagreb concert, Anja Harteros will perform the most beautiful arias from operas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini and Francesco Cilla.
