Dance Extravaganza at the Arena – The 2018 International Dance Open

The 2018 Zagreb International Dance Open will host thousands of participants making the Croatian capital once more a great international centre of dance.

Dancers from all over the world will meet once again in Zagreb at the 2018 International Dance Open. Due to exceptional levels of interest and the attractiveness of the event, this year this spectacular dance competition will be held in the Zagreb Arena. Performances from over 5000 dancers from 27 countries and 400 clubs are expected, just like last year.

The International Dance Open is a modern dance competition for all ages. Among the styles of dance at the Arena are: Acrobat Rock’n’Roll, Belly Dance, Break Dance, Cheerleading, Classical Ballet, Disco Dance, Disco Fox, Disco Style, Electric, Fitness Dance, Fitness, Fit Kid, Folk Belly Dance, Freestyle, Hip Hop, Jazz Dance, Latin, Latin Show, Majorette, Musical, Salsa, Show Dance, SportRecreational Dance, Standard Show, Step, Street Show, Street Style and Street Dance. Dancers will range from “babies” to senior citizens. They will dance alone, dance in pairs or groups and there will be large productions with as many as 25 dancers, all watched by a panel of Croatian and international judges.

As well as the competition, workshops with renowned choreographers from around the world will be held. The support of the Zagreb Tourist Board and Mayor of the City of Zagreb Milan Bandić, the Office for Culture, Education and Sport of the City of Zagreb and the City of Zagreb Council testify to the importance of this event.
