Dance Extravaganza at Zagreb Arena – Fire of Anatolia

The Turkish dance attraction Fire of Anatolia will perform at Zagreb Arena on 20 May. Following their appearance in 2006 at Dom sportova, this is the second performance in Zagreb of one of the best dance troupes in the world which has in its repertoire hundreds of folk dances from Asia, the Aegean, the Mediterranean and the Balkans, with elements of ballet, modern dance and step alongside attractive costumes and sets and music from all over the Orient.

Bellydancers, drummers, dervishes and tap dancers all contribute to a show which has been watched by over 40 million people in 97 countries. This dance troupe holds two Guinness records: one for the fastest dance performance with 241 steps per minute, and another for the performance with the largest audience: 400,000 people in Ereğlion the Black Sea.

Proceeds from this performance will go towards building a cultural and educational centre in the village of Gunja in eastern Croatia. Tickets are on sale from 17 March at all Ticketshop.hr outlets. Ticket prices are from 90 kn to 240 kn with a 25 % discount for school children, students and pensioners and 30 % discount for war veterans.
