The beginning of the month promises great things for gourmets, who can look forward to diverse food and wine festivals in Zagreb. A real treat for them will be the popular Restaurant Week, which continues to successfully promote Zagreb’s restaurants that offer their specialties at discount prices. This event, which follows the global trend, has been adapted to the Croatian market. It is frequented by tourists and citizens of Zagreb alike who benefit from the great opportunity to enjoy the creative offer of Zagreb’s restaurants.
With the goal of maintaining health and stamina, I would like to invite you to join me in running the Zagreb marathon. This event, which began in 1992, has turned into the largest road race in Croatia. With more than a thousand runners participating, the density on the track is similar to an average mid-range European marathon. Don’t miss the opportunity to join the marathon and half-marathon runners who run along the streets of Zagreb in order to promote a healthy lifestyle.
With the arrival of the exquisite autumn, the Zoo located in our most beautiful park – Maksimir, will be the venue for a magical story. The Zoo’s pavilion has been specially adapted for the programme. I invite parents to bring their children and experience the magic of a night stroll through the Zoo with lanterns in hand, along with guidance from various fairy-tale characters.
In the end, I urge you not to miss Ambienta - the international fair of furniture and interior design. This is the leading fair of its kind in this part of Europe, and it will take place at the Zagreb Fair for the 42nd time.
