Dear citizens of Zagreb, dear guests!

During March the city and its people become more lively, more cheerful and more colourful with each day, and of course it is so because Spring is coming.

Our beautiful city, its green parks and picturesque streets will come to life again, and the better weather will tempt Zagreb's citizens, its visitors and tourists onto the streets. Like any town, Zagreb as part of its wide-ranging offering has something for everyone, although lovers of fine food, wine and travel are especially in luck.

In the middle of March Zagreb will hold the 13th Restaurant Week. Don't miss out on the chance to visit Zagreb's restaurants which during the tastiest week of the year prepare well-priced and creative gastro concoctions. Complete your enjoyment of your food with a glass of rose wine at the fifth International Rosé Wine Day, known as Pink Day, which is held in the Mimara Museum.

Lovers of beauty and movement will enjoy the exhibition Days of Beauty and Fitness at the Zagreb Fair. This event has succeeded in positioning itself as a leading event in the region for beauty professionals, as well as an international platform for the cosmetics, wellness, fitness and hairdressing industries.

If you love travel, I would certainly recommend visiting the Place2go Exhibition of International Tourism which will be held in the Zagreb Arena for the first time this year, enabling it to be particularly rich and impressive. Lovers of travel can enjoy numerous events and surprises, including presentations of new trends in tourism as well as unmissable talks about travel accompanied by wonderful photos and videos.

At the end of the month I invite you to a real treat: the extravaganza named Cats, the original West End and Broadway musical which will be performed in the Zagreb Arena three times due to the high level of interest. Enjoy one of the musicals to have collected the most awards which has been performed in over 30 countries, translated into more than 10 languages and seen by more than 50 million people around the world.

Sincerely yours,

Mayor of the City of Zagreb

Milan Bandić
