This year too we have prepared for you the 52nd Floraart International Garden Exhibition. The international garden exhibition Floraart is the largest horticultural event in this part of Europe which brings together a great many Croatian and foreign exhibitors while the exhibition is visited by several hundred thousand people. At the exhibition space in Bundek Park numerous promotions take place and there is a variety of talks on various themes aimed at visitors. Visit us at Floraart from 8 to 14 May 2017.
This year once again we are opening the door of the Summer on Stross event as well as on the 21st Cest is d'Best festival. Summer on Stross or “Strossmarte” brings us something of the spirit of that famous Parisian district. This is a programme which the people of Zagreb as well as visitors to our city have found hard to resist for some years now. This year the most romantic walkway in Zagreb will be joyfully transformed into Strossmarte for almost 100 days from May to September. The Kings of the Street Cest is d'Best festival is an international multimedia street festival which, while preserving Zagreb's identity, brings to life the city streets and squares, returning to them their optimism and charm. This festival every year completely changes the shape of the city centre and the programme is enjoyed by on average 50,000 visitors every day.
If you would like to spend time with your family in the open air, visit the Zagreb Picnic in Maksimir park. The aim of this project is once again to make Maksimir, recently voted one of the 14 finest parks in Europe, a place for all generations to meet. The shade in Maksimir will become a Saturday summer oasis with the aim of encouraging the people of Zagreb and tourists to spend time and to socialise in the open air.
In May Zagreb plays host to the conference “The City of Zagreb – A Destination for Health Tourism” which will be held in Hotel Antunović, and the 2nd Wellcone regional exhibition of inland tourism which arose from the need to promote the inland parts of Croatia, which has unrecognised potential for the development of tourism.
Visit Design Week Zagreb 2017. Design Week Zagreb (#tdzg) is the largest event in Croatia dedicated to design and is the only design festival which activates the whole city, organising large exhibitions of design, lectures, panels, workshops, presentations, pop-up shops and guest appearances by some of the best-known international designers. The fourth Design Week Zagreb will be held from 9 to 14 May 2017 at 50 locations throughout the city.
If you are more the sporting type then you'll be interested in the Holi Run & Fest, an event for all generations promoting the message “Celebrating movement”. The purpose of some 4km of race track is to bring together professional sports people, amateurs and people who are not the sporting type at all but who want to move and have fun.
