Dear friends and business partners!

The city of Zagreb now has a brand new passenger terminal at Franjo Tuđman airport. Zagreb has gained an airport for the 21st century thanks to which we will be able to travel more comfortably, quickly and pleasantly. Its modern architecture and contemporary design as well as numerous innovations guarantee that the new passenger terminal at Franjo Tuđman airport will become a new symbol of Croatia’s capital.

The fact that it will be able to, in its first phase, accommodate 5 million passengers, and in its second phase 8 million, is especially exciting. There are 30 check in desks, 23 desks at passport control, more than 3 km of conveyor belts for luggage in the latest automated sorting facility and 8 passenger boarding bridges. All of this guarantees that more people will come to Zagreb and that they will return more often, and that the city of Zagreb will be better positioned as an unmissable European and global destination worth visiting either as a tourist or on business.

Zagreb’s visitors, and its citizens, will have a unique chance to travel in the Zagreb Time Machine between April and October. Once more, each and every weekend seven city locations will be brought to life in order to present the customs of times past in Zagreb and its surroundings. Famous citizens from Zagreb's history such as journalist and writer Marija Jurić Zagorka will walk the streets of the Upper Town; there will be promenade concerts and the dairy produce sellers on the Dolac market will offer their authentic wares. This is an events programme which has been run by the Zagreb Tourist Board for many years now with the aim of bringing life to Zagreb's squares, parks and streets through the past times and customs of the city and its surroundings.

In this way the present and the past will meet on Zagreb's streets, just as on the Zagreb Tourist Board's website and on the LoveZagreb blog those who love Zagreb and those who are just about to fall in love with it meet. The stories of our bloggers, thanks to which visitors can get to know at first hand where to eat, what to eat and how to live in Croatia’s capital, will be updated with a vlog – a video blog in which all of our guests, particularly young people, can get to know the very best of our offering for tourists in a new, witty and innovative way. LoveZagreb throws wide open a space for those who love to write about their experiences in the city on the Sava and for those who read about it with interest, for those who merrily photograph its panoramas, and for those who wish to immerse themselves in the city just as its citizens do.

Welcome!
