Dear friends and business partners!

August too tempts us outside to the city’s stages. Dance evenings at Zrinjevac will take us back to times past when the favourite activity of the people of Zagreb was a dance. The beat of the hits from the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s, the sounds of rock, jazz and swing will remind us how generations of our fellow citizens grew up.

Opatovina will be made even more lively on Fridays and Saturdays throughout August by the students of the “Rock Academy”. The Opatovina Music Jam and young musicians on an open air city stage are guarantees of great music and great fun, and dancing is definitely required! In August it will be no less lively in Upper Town. On Katarina Zrinski Square fans of the big screen will be able to enjoy the programme of the Gradec Summer Cinema. Just a little further on the Amadeo Summer Stage Matija Dedić and friends will be playing, while theatregoers will be able to hop over from Upper Town to the Museum of Arts and Crafts where they can see a performance from the EXIT Theatre.
A unique oasis of summertime refreshment this August is the Little Picnic on Vranyczany Plateau. In a laid back Old Town atmosphere you can try something from the rich gastronomic offering created from fresh local produce, or simply take a break for a moment and enjoy one of the most beautiful views over the city. Check whether you can see the Zagreb Botanical Gardens, and then be sure to go there too. Based on what professional travel journalists and writers have written and judged, Zagreb Botanical Gardens is one of the winners of a 2017 TripExpert award and has been listed on TripExpert.com as one of Zagreb’s most beautiful attractions, also winning the award TripExpert “Best of Zagreb”. It is worth citing the experts when they say guests can be sure that a visit to the Botanical Gardens is one of the best things to do during their stay in Zagreb.

And then, towards the end of August, a concert spectacle at Šalata. Duran Duran, one of the greatest pop bands of all time, are coming back to Croatia 16 years after their first and until now only performance here. This will be their only standalone concert this year on the Old Continent, a fact of which we can be rightly proud.

Welcome!
