With the coming of the warmer and sunniest times, Zagreb's streets are gaining new energy and Zagreb will become the host of numerous events in May, enriching its cultural and artistic offer.

The Cest is d'Best Festival is an international, multimedia street festival that revives city squares and streets, bringing them back their charm and optimism, and for 22^nd time it will bring people of good will, whether they are performers, whether they are spectators. From May 30 to June 3, the program will take place on six city stages. Visitors are expecting five days of performance, music, drama, children, art, sports and other events.

In Zagreb’s Ethnographic Museum the exhibition “The Seljan Brothers Through Rainforests and Deserts” runs from 3 May to 18 November. Croatian explorers Mirko and Stevo Seljan are famous for their multidisciplinary expeditions at the end of the 19^th and beginning of the 20^thcenturies in east Africa and South America. This exhibition covers all their journeys and expeditions: Mirko’s trip on foot from St Petersburg to Paris, their trip to Ethiopia and explorations in South America.

More than 100 days of fun await again this year on Strossmayerovo šetalište, Zagreb’s Strossmartre. Strossmartre will come to life for 102 days, starting up on 25 May and running until 9 September. It will be hard to resist the carefully curated programme of concerts, art installations, unusual and fun events and competitions, the nostalgic atmosphere of the open air cinema, artists with their easels and excellent wines.

A World Luxury Hotel Award prize, known as the hotel Oscar, has been given to the Hotel Esplanade Zagreb in three categories: best Luxury Architecture Design Hotel, best Luxury Historical Hotel and best Luxury Heritage Hotel. In addition, the most prestigious publications and industry leaders such as Michelin, Gault&Millau and TripAdvisor have once again confirmed that Zagreb's Hotel Esplanade and its two restaurants are leaders in quality in the hospitality industry. This is the third year that the hotel has won this international award which is considered a pinnacle of achievement for all luxury hotels around the world.
