August in Zagreb is a mix of summer relaxation and popular events, which make Zagreb a beautiful stage under clear skies.

It is a new face of Croatian metropolis which from month to month finds its own record of visitation. On social networks, in the media and memories of those who have been here, you will come across a mosaic of experiences and recommendations for coming.

This summer the Opatovina Summer Stage will once again be the venue for the 33^st Zagreb Histrionic Summer. Do not miss the opportunity to treat yourself to the unique experience of watching theatre shows under the open sky. If you have the opportunity, visit the Summer on Štross Festival taking place on one of the most romantic promenades in the city. Also, make sure to head to St. Catherine’s Square where you can attend a cinema screening at the 8^th Gradec Summer Cinema. This year the programme will feature a total of 32 films on 32 nights under a myriad of stars.  

From 10 to 19 August Zrinjevac Park once again will become a meeting place with the relaxed atmosphere of the Dance Evenings, part of the Zagreb Time Machine project. Dance Evenings on Zrinjevac bring to life the spirit of those erstwhile Zagreb dances as well as performances by concert bands which were among the symbols of the rich cultural life in the centre of Zagreb. As well as evening dances, there will also be an interesting offering of drinks and desserts.

Also make sure to visit the Zagreb Cathedral, which is regarded as the largest and most important sacral structure in Croatia, where you can enjoy exquisite music performed on its beautiful organ. This organ is considered a master achievement of the organ-making trade, and it is one of the largest organs in Europe, as well as one of the ten most beautiful and valuable organs in general.
