Dear friends and business partners!

The beginning of summer brings more hustle and bustle in the city streets as well as interesting events to the citizens and visitors of Zagreb.

We will all remember the past several months by the coronavirus pandemic; an unprecedented situation that brought the world to a halt and faced it with an unthinkable health hazard, death toll and economic slump. All these events are certainly stressful, but unfortunately for the citizens of Zagreb, they are just a fraction of the catastrophic scenario the citizens had to go through. On 22 March, the date that will be recorded in the history of the city forever, they were startled from sleep by a devastating earthquake, the strongest one in the last 140 years.

The resulting images cannot be forgotten, but on the other hand they confirm a many times proven fact about a strong emotional bond between Zagreb and its citizens.

Today the usual lifestyle is being restored in Zagreb, but consequences, even though much less visible to the eyes of visitors, will take a long time to address fully.

Still, with June life in the city got a more relaxed, familiar atmosphere and the number of visitors is increasing. The fact that in early June, the renowned American magazine Forbes listed Zagreb among twenty European and three Croatian destinations which are the best and the safest to visit in the period following the coronavirus pandemic is a proof of how successful we are in adhering to the precautions. Health and safety of our visitors remain our priority and there will be no compromise on this. Therefore all visitors are invited to comply with the prescribed measures in order to protect their health and the health of those around them and enjoy their stay in Zagreb without difficulties.

After a temporary suspension of flights due to the pandemic, air service that connects Zagreb and many European destinations has been re-established.

An increasing number of events linked to culture and entertainment restore the image of Zagreb as an interesting city-break destination. They invite visitors to this city which, while healing the wounds from a difficult period, welcomes you today with a heart and strength which outweigh all challenges

Welcome!

Yours faithfully,
