Great interest - The exhibition “Leonardo da Vinci – The Genius and his Inventions” extended

Due to great public interest, the major exhibition “Leonardo da Vinci – The Genius and his Inventions” has been extended, so make sure to use the opportunity and discover the great mind of the famous Renaissance painter and creator of many ingenious inventions.

If you have not had the opportunity to visit the “Leonardo da Vinci - The Genius and his Inventions” exhibition, you can still do so because the exhibition has been extended until November due to great public interest. The exhibition is open at the Chinese Pavilion at the grounds of the Zagreb Fair, and it showcases more than 80 complex machines and reproductions of paintings and drawings, anatomy studies and Leonardo’s famous codices – drawings with notes. Although Leonardo da Vinci is known as one of the greatest Renaissance painters, he was also a great visionary, an expert on human anatomy, an inventor and a man with a brilliant mind. After almost five centuries since his death, his ingenious inventions still attract great attention worldwide.

This exhibition features interactive machines in real size which were built by a group of experts from Florence based on da Vinci’s work “Codici Vinciani”. They used nothing but the materials available in da Vinci’s time. Apart from the machines, the exhibition also features Leonardo’s visionary inventions such as the helicopter, an early parachute, an armoured vehicle, bicycle, car, submarine and many other civilizational achievements that the world saw much later.

The exhibition even provides visitors with the opportunity to try their hand at operating some of the machines in order to better understand the principles of physics and mechanics Leonardo da Vinci implemented in their construction. Each invention features explanations and model sketches, but visitors can also expect many other interesting things.

Tickets for the exhibition can be purchased at the Zagreb Fair and at all Eventim box-offices.
