INmusic 2022: Debut Performances of World - Famous Musicians

The 15th edition of INmusic festival has been listed as one of twenty most important music events in 2022, bringing new performers and new energy to the stage at Jarun Lake in Zagreb.

After a two-year break caused by the pandemic, the 15th edition of INmusic festival will take place in Zagreb from 20 to 23 June. This is the first time that the festival, which is traditionally held on the islands of Jarun Lake, will last for four days, while the festival camp site, which welcomes visitors from more than 50 countries, will be open for seven days.

The impressive line-up of the INmusic #15 features music names such as The Killers, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Deftones, Kasabian, Royal Blood, IDLES, White Lies, Fontaines D.C., Gogol Bordello, Amadou & Mariam, Sleaford Mods, Snapped Ankles, The Comet Is Coming, Tamikrest, Hinds, Dry Cleaning and many others.

In addition to performers who the INmusic festival audience is already familiar with but who are always interesting and intriguing, this year’s line-up also contains names of world-renowned performers who will grace the stage of the festival for the first time. For example, The Killers, one of the greatest music bands of the 21st century with six multiplatinum studio albums, dozens of hits and songs which marked the last 15 years have confirmed their presence.

This year, the audience of INmusic #15 will witness the Zagreb debut of the activist, krautrock quartet Snapped Ankles with their unique blend of post-punk, krautrock and electronic music as a part of recognisable chaotic art-rock performance. The East London quartet keep their identities a mystery and perform wearing masks inspired by Old Church Slavonic forest demons. In their multimedia performances they criticise the concept of progress at any cost and disregard for climate crisis.

British post-punk band Dry Cleaning is also about to have its debut at the festival. They are one of the most intriguing new bands which attracts attention with a unique blend of Florence Shaw’s vocal performance and post-punk instrumental.

British post-punk duo Sleaford Mods will also have a debut on the stage at Jarun Lake. Their music accomplishments contain merciless criticism of topical issues in politics and society in Britain and the world.

Four-day tickets for INmusic festival 2022 are available for 599 Kuna, and seven-day festival camping tickets for 250 Kuna.

It should be noted that British music magazine the New Musical Express listed Zagreb’s INmusic festival among the twenty most awaited festivals in the world in 2022. That again confirms that Zagreb is a relevant destination in the European music festival scene.
