Jarun Lake - The European Junior Triathlon Cup

On September 18th, more than 400 young athletes from more than 30 European countries will compete for medals at the European Junior Triathlon Cup on Jarun Lake.

After the successful organisation of the European University Games, which were held in July in Zagreb and Rijeka, the Croatian capital will once again be host to yet another major international competition this year – the European Junior Triathlon Cup. The competition will take place at Jarun Lake on September 18th and attract more than 400 young athletes from more than 30 countries who will compete for medals.

The triathlon is one of the most demanding, but most rapidly developing sports in the world. This multidisciplinary sport, which combines swimming, cycling and running, has more than a thousand recreational and professional followers in Croatia. Winners of numerous medals in junior competitions will be competing for team Croatia in the European Cup. Among them are the talented and prospective athletes Josip Živković from Zagreb and Luka Paliska and Elizabeta Vitasović from Pula, who are expected to go on to great things in future senior competitions

The European Junior Triathlon Cup is taking place under the auspices of Zagreb’s mayor, Milan Bandić.
