Medvedgrad Music Evenings - Concerts above the city
Between July 14th and 16th, the old Medvedgrad Fort, the best preserved 13th century fort, will be the venue for Medvedgrad Music Evenings, a festival featuring open air performances by excellent musicians.
Open air concerts by renowned musicians in the most beautiful location above the city will once again mark this year’s edition of Medvedgrad Music Evenings. If you want to enjoy these concerts at the old Medvedgrad Fort, the best preserved 13th century fort in Croatia, you must be very quick because the number of seats is limited and the interest is great.
Medvedgrad Music Evenings will take place between July 14th and 16th, and the entire event is organised by the August Cesarec Centre for Culture and Film in cooperation with Menart BPM and the Medvednica Nature Park Public Institution.
Like last year, this three-day event will also feature concerts taking place as part of the special programme “Acoustics at the Fort”, which will take place before the beginning of the main concerts. The idea is to present young and talented Croatian musicians and authors to a limited audience of no more than thirty people, which creates a special atmosphere. This programme will feature performances by Side Project, Voland Le Mat and FOR, while the main programme will consist of concerts by already established musicians including Luce and Sara Renar, as well as Urban&4. A surprise performance by Elemental has just been announced as the closing act of Medvedgrad Music Evenings.
Concert goers can use the service of a free minibus to take them to Medvedgrad from the bus stop near the church of St. Mirko in Šestine.
Medvedgrad Music Evenings is organised with the backing of the City Office for Education, Culture and Sport and the Zagreb Tourist Board, and it is part of the programme of the Zagreb Cultural Summer – ZgKul.
