Music Festivals Line up – ZEZ, Biggest Little Rock, Zagreb Guitar Fest

Something for everyone: the ZEZ Festival for fans of experimental music, Biggest Little Rock if you like your music hard and heavy, and Zagreb Guitar Fest for guitar lovers.

The ZEZ Festival is being held for the fifth year in the club KSET with the idea of being a mutation of the concert cycle of experimental music. This year, from 16 to 22 April the ZEZ Festival will offer a range of events, music created from specific forms, dynamics and sounds. As well as a series of concerts the Festival will host exhibitions, workshops, lectures, screenings and more. The week kicks off with a concert from the group Ex Eye, the post-metal band of Colin Stetson, one of the most significant people on the experimental jazz scene.

In Mali Rock Klub, the biggest little rock club in town, the fifth Biggest Little Rock Festival is being held. The main stars of the festival are the Phil Rudd band (the legendary drummer from AC/DC), Rambo Amadeus and The Mistaken Sons of Alabama, and like every year the rest of the line-up is made up of excellent club bands. This year these will be Lika Kolorado, Hard Time, Bad Mushrooms, Tao Šank, Sloanwall and Mojo Men From Mars. Three days of stylistically diverse rock concerts from nine bands will be accompanied by events such as a rock quiz, the play “Kužiš Stari Moj!”, an exhibition, a CD outlet sale and more.

The fourth Zagreb Guitar Festival this year once again will gather some of the best guitarists from around the world in Zagreb, guitar teachers from around the world and young guitar stars in the ascendant. Not only will you be able to enjoy music from virtuosos such as Stanley Jordan, Gerardo Nunez and Judicael Perroy, young musicians will also have the chance to learn from the world’s leading guitarists. Thanks to this festival Zagreb will once again become the place where guitarists of all ages from around the world get together.
