The Night of Museums will take place on 28 January 2022. This is when museums and art galleries in 110 Croatian cities and municipalities will open their doors to visitors between 6 PM and 01 AM, if permitted by the epidemiological situation.
Last year the event took place in a virtual form for the first time. Based on that experience, this year’s topic is Museums between the Physical and Virtual World. Museums and art galleries in Zagreb also regularly take part in this event. Those facilities that suffered significant damage during the earthquake that took place in March 2022 will be an exception so they will enable visitors to go on virtual walks around their collections, exhibitions, workshops and similar instead.
The event has taken place in Croatia since 2005. Until 2021, almost 3.7 million citizens participated, whether in physical or virtual world.
