On the top list - Excellent news for Zagreb’s Swanky Mint Hostel
The popular UK daily newspaper The Sun has included Zagreb’s Swanky Mint Hostel on its list of the seven best European hostels for the laid-back traveller that knows how to have fun and is looking for affordable luxury.
The UK daily The Sun has included Zagreb’s Swanky Mint Hostel on its top list of seven luxury European hostels. The leader on the list is Soul Kitchen in Russian St. Petersburg; the runner-up is the Swanky Mint followed by Lisbon Destination Hostel in Lisbon, City Circus in Athens, Plas Curig in Snowdonia, Wales, Treck Hostel in Belgian Ghent, and Kadir’s Treehouse on Olympus, Turkey.
Hostel Swanky Mint is located in Ilica, one of the longest and most exclusive streets in Zagreb, and it is within walking distance of the most important city attractions. Formerly a factory, it has been converted into an oasis of luxury for travellers who know how to have fun. Although the original purpose of this establishment served as inspiration for the industrial interior and minimalistic décor, the Swanky Mint Hostel offers much more than might be expected from such an approach to design: a roof terrace, a garden and a pool where you can relax in the Croatian sun with minimal cares.
The hostel’s Menza Bar is a place where people from all over the world and many locals come together to listen to good music, enjoy artsy events and other forms of entertainment which are regularly organised here.
As a result, the UK daily The Sun has recognised the Swanky Mint Hostel as the best choice for travellers who are looking for affordable luxury in Zagreb, and they included it on its top list of the seven best hostels in Europe. Quite rightly so.
