A year after their last performance at the Culture Factory, the cult British post punk band Gang of Four is returning and will hold a concert on September 10th.
The relationship between Zagreb and the Gang of Four has been going strong since 1981, when the band performed at the Music Biennale as part of their “Solid Gold” tour. The concert was held at the packed Dom Sportova Sports Hall. That was their first performance in front of such a crowd, while support acts were bands from the former Yugoslavia. This concert marked the beginning of a new era, and the Gang of Four’s barren version of punk, rock, funk and dub, featuring remarkable lyrics about social and political problems, made a strong impact and initiated a true music revolution in this part of the world.
The band has thus far released nine studio albums, and during their last performance at the Culture Factory they promoted songs from their still current 2015 album “What Happens Next”.
Ticket prices for the Gang of Four concert are 100 kuna in regular sale and 120 kuna on the day of the concert, and they can be purchased via Entrio.
