Summer in the Museum – A Brilliant Programme in Lauba and the Museum of Contemporary Arts

Concerts, exhibitions, promotions, playgroups, performances, literary evenings… Summer in the Museum of Contemporary Arts and Lauba!

The fifth season of Summer in the Museum of Contemporary Arts brings us a host of irresistible artistic events according to a “5 in 1” formula: music, film, exhibitions, performances and, for the first time, literary readings. Six Saturdays and six concerts on the roof of the Museum of Contemporary Arts! The new season will be opened on 2 June by the group Boa; on 9 June the group Kojoti is playing; Saturday 16 June is reserved for the jazz sensation Chui, and on 30 June Hladno pivo plays its best and most popular songs from a career spanning 30 years. Beograd post-punk trio Repetitor is playing on the roof of the Museum on 7 July, and the last concert of the season will be played on 14 July by the group Mayales.

As well as concerts, this year too you will be able to visit three exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Arts for the price of one. Every evening before the start of the concert itself there will be performances by Croatian artists at several locations inside the museum. Summer in the Museum of Contemporary Art also brings us screenings of the best films of the season in the Metropolis cinema, as well as including for the first time literary discussions and readings by leading Croatian authors of all ages.

The Lauba House for People and Art also has a packed summer programme throughout June, July and August. Lauba will be celebrating its birthday on 20 June, when the exhibition “Landscapes” by Silvijo Vujčić also opens. There will be book promotions, games evenings on the Lauba summer beach, Laubica creative workshops for kids… Summer in Lauba runs until the very end of August and the beginning of the Motovun Film Festival in Zagreb.
