The 5th Place2go - The biggest tourism fair in Croatia

Between March 18th and 20th, Boćarski Dom will be the venue for the 5th Place2go International Tourism Fair, where representatives of numerous destinations from all over the world will present their diverse offers, and if you are lucky you stand a chance of winning one of the valuable awards.

Once again, this year, the largest tourism fair in Croatia, Place2go, will present a plethora of novelties in the world of travel. The fair will take place for the fifth time between March 18th and 20th at Boćarski Dom, and it will feature exhibitors from more than fifteen countries. Among them are Morocco – partaking for the first time, and the regular but nonetheless attractive participants Indonesia, India, Thailand and Iran. Other countries that will present their rich offer include Israel, Belgium, Turkey, Hungary, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as many Croatian destinations. Visitors of the fair will have the opportunity to get to know the latest trends in tourism, explore the diversity of offers, and gather information about the different possibilities for travel.  Apart from that, the Zagreb Tourist Board will present an educational project of extracurricular activities in Zagreb’s high-schools, titled “The Culture of Tourism”. The project has been launched by the Zagreb Tourist Board in cooperation with the City Office for Education, Culture and Sport.

On the first day, the fair will be open only to entrepreneurs and reserved for meetings with exhibitors, while the weekend will be dedicated to visitors from the general public. Like in the previous years, once again they will have the opportunity to enjoy the pleasures of Gastro Street, offering specialties of autochthonous cuisine as well as cuisines from all over the world. Visitors of the Place2go market will also have the opportunity to buy a souvenir or two, as well as partake in a Place2go Passport prize giveaway. However, in order to be eligible for the prize, one will have to “travel” through the fair and collect stamps in their passports. Only then, with a bit of luck, can they win a valuable award such as a trip, plane tickets, road trips or expensive luggage.

The Place2go International Fair of Tourism is taking place under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and with the backing of the City of Zagreb, the Zagreb Tourist Board and the Zagreb Markets. More information about the fair can be found online at www.place2go.hr.
