The Croatian fashion scene - Zagreb on Britain's Next Top Model

An episode of the popular British reality show, Britain's Next Top Model, which was shot last October in complete secrecy and in cooperation with the Zagreb Tourist Board by Thumbs Up Productions, aired on television in the beginning of this February.

At the beginning of February, the channel Lifetime UK aired an episode of the popular British reality show Britain's Next Top Model, which was shot in Zagreb last October. The show has great viewership in Great Britain, and Zagreb was chosen for the shoot among several other exotic destinations. The shoot itself was a top secret affair carried out by the Thumbs Up Productions team.

In Zagreb, the contestants partook in a fashion show by Croatian fashion designer Viktor Drago, who was chosen by the production as a prominent representative of the domestic fashion scene. The fashion show was held as part of the opening ceremony of the Diva Style Dolls exhibition at the Art Pavilion. The girls wore creations designed by Croatian fashion designers, while the second part of the fashion shoot took place at the Dolac market in creations by Hippy Garden. The task was not at all easy for the models, as they had to prove their competence during the hustle and bustle of a city market on a busy Saturday. The legendary British fashion critic and one of the judges, Hilary Alexander, as well as another member of the jury – fashion photographer Nicky Johnston, were thoroughly impressed with the entire project and Zagreb alike.

The shoot of this episode of the popular British show was made possible in cooperation with the Zagreb Tourist Board, and it is a fantastic promotion of the Croatian capital aimed at the young and urban British public yearning for new experiences. The Croatian fashion scene alone is definitely enough of a motive to visit and discover why Zagreb is becoming an increasingly attractive tourist destination.
