The Ethnographic Museum - An exhibition of the belief in supernatural beings

If you believe in supernatural beings or want to learn about them, make sure to visit the Ethnographic Museum, where the exhibition “Magical Company – Beliefs in Supernatural Beings in the Podravina Area” will remain open until the end of May.

Until May 31st, the Ethnographic Museum will feature the exhibition “Magical Company – Beliefs in Supernatural Beings in the Podravina Area”. The exhibition is a result of cooperation between the museum and the independent artist and award winning photographer Iva Lulić. Through the individual analysis of supernatural beings, such as elves, fairies, witches and the like, the exhibition presents beliefs which occupy an important place in traditional culture, while such themes are still widely acknowledged and popular worldwide.

The exhibition features inspirational photos with magical motifs, taken by the aforementioned author who is known for her photos of mythological beings. It was, in fact, her project which led the locals of Podravina to personify the supernatural beings. Apart from photos by Iva Lulić, visitors of the exhibition will also have the opportunity to view works by the award winning animator Zdenko Bašić, the renowned artist Zdravko Tišljar, as well as the young authors Marija Plečko, Petra Orbanić and Maja Jurjević. Ivo Vičić composed the music which plays in the background of the exhibition.

This interesting exhibition also features an array of various concurrent events, such as workshops and specialist lectures, theatre plays, story-telling sessions, a fairy-balland prize giveaways.
