The Ethnographic Museum - "Puna šaka brade" (A Fistful of Beard) exhibition

Do not miss the exhibition "Puna šaka brade" (A Fistful of Beard) at the Ethnographic Museum as it offers an interesting insight into old barbershops, as well as a diverse retro styled programme.

Between September 2nd and November 20th, visitors have the opportunity to see an interesting exhibition titled Puna šaka brade (A Fistful of Beard). Its set up is a recreation of an old Zagreb barbershop dating back to the late 19th century, where they can even have a shave the old fashioned way before having some retro style fun.

This unusual exhibition is organised by the Ethnographic Museum in cooperation with a team of hairdressers and enthusiasts, The barbers aim to revive the tradition of the once renowned but nowadays somewhat forgotten barbershop, which used to be the hub for male socialising, the place where one could hear all the juicy gossip, and the centre of social life of modern young men. Part of the atmosphere will rub off on the visitors of the exhibition, which will also feature a diverse concurrent programme, including workshops. The Back to Swing dance troupe, Škrgetić Hats, the Old Timer Club of Croatia, the Vespa Club of Croatia,  Go Retro and many others will also participate in the event. That, however, is not all, because on September 16th and 17th there will be an entertainment programme at the Square of Ivan Mažuranić, where the Ethnographic Museum is located. Do not miss this interesting exhibition and make sure to come and have some retro style fun.
