The Secret Side of the City – The Secrets of Grič

If you want to get to know the secret side of the Croatian capital and be an active participant in all sorts of enacted events from Zagreb's past, the interactive theatrical night tour of the city The Secrets of Grič is for you!

Every Friday and Saturday from 16 June to the beginning of September, at 9 pm on the crossroads at Mesnička and Ilica, by the monument to Andrija Kačič Miošić a guide awaits dressed in a red raincoat. And thus departs the tour based on historical facts, on a novelised history taken from the works of Marija Jurić Zagorka and well-known local legends. Visitors meet Manduša, Nera and Siniša from Zagorka's novels, as well as Petrica Kerempuh and his actors' society who tell the tale through performance of Matija Gubec and the peasant uprising. Here are knights, lamplighters and night watchmen, the occasional real witch, as well as assorted characters and events from books and novels intertwined into an enticing and mysterious tale about the Upper Town.

Sixty minutes of strolling around Grič, lit by lantern, and time spent with Zagorka seem like the perfect start to a summer evening.

On Fridays the tour is in Croatian, and on Saturdays in English. The tour starts at 9 pm. The price for an adult ticket is 150 kuna.
