The South African rap-rave attraction - Die Antwoord at the Zagreb Fair

The South African rap-rave group, Die Antwoord, whose music and lyrics have won over audiences worldwide, will perform their first ever concert in Zagreb on June 13th at the Zagreb Fair as part of their current world tour.

On June 13th, the Zagreb Fair will be the venue for a concert by the fantastic South African rap-rave group Die Antwoord, whose music and provocative lyrics with strong messages resonate around the world. They will hold their first concert in Zagreb as part of their current world tour, and it will be their only performance in the region.

Die Antwoord was founded in Cape Town in 2008 and it was formed by rapper Ninja, Yo-Landi Visser and DJ Hi-Tek. Their music is a mix of hip-hop, rap, rock and rave, which tells stories about the margins of urban society and the slums of Cape Town. Their debut album, “SOS”, has been released online and is downloadable for free, and the music video for their song “Enter the Ninja” has millions of views on YouTube.

They have thus far released three albums, the last of which, “Donker Mag” in 2014, immediately took first place on Billboard’s dance/electronic charts. In the beginning of this year the band announced the release of their new album. Not many details about the album have been made public, except the fact that it will be titled “We Have Candy” and will be produced by DJ Muggs of Cypress Hill.

Tickets for the concert by Die Antwoord cost 170 kuna and they can be purchased at the Dirty Old Shop, the Rockmark bookstore and the Aquarius CD Shop, as well as online at www.eventim.hr. On the day of the concert, ticket prices will go up to 200 kuna.
