The World on Your Plate – A Gastro Journey on Europski trg

The World on Your Plate gastro festival will show us again how to travel the whole world without a passport or a suitcase.

Towards the end of August you will once more have the chance to travel the world. All you have to do is come to Europski trg and this year’s “World on Your Plate” festival. This gastro adventure needs no passport or overstuffed suitcases. All you need is to be hungry for new discoveries and to be open to something different. Every day of the “World On Your Plate” festival brings us a new gastro destination and its tastiest delicacies. For a start, of course, there are the tastes of Croatia which will, most probably, return locals to their childhood in the blink of an eye, while demonstrating to others what Croatian gastronomy is all about. After that follows a journey around the world in ten days, from the far east to the exotic south, from the extreme north to the expanses of the west. We can expect again Lebanese motabal, Russian chebureke, Cuban churros and Venezuelan arepas, or indeed all kinds of sushi and American burgers. And all of this alongside a programme of entertainments accompanying your culinary adventures with music, dance, traditional customs and languages. Dance South American dances, try out Asian martial arts, or go home with a licitar heart that you have made yourself… all of this is possible in this journey.
