Valentines With a Song and a Kiss
As Valentine’s Day approaches the biggest problem for couples or for people who hope to become part of one is how to choose among the many large concerts held in Zagreb in celebration of love.
Ivan Zak, a favourite among all generations, following his successful summer tour and a number of concerts in this country and abroad, on 11 February will be singing in Zagreb Arena. Jacques Houdek, Vera Svoboda and Krunoslav Kićo Slabinac will be singing the best songs from old Zagreb on 14 February in the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, accompanied by the Krunoslav Dražić Tambour Orchestra. At this concert, named, “Who has, my heart, touched you?”, musical treasures will be performed, songs with true and lasting artistic value and which touch the soul. On Tuesday 14 February at 8 pm Lauba, the House for People and Art will be hosting the singer Massimo who will sing for all those looking for love. The same evening Damir Kedžo will hold a solo concert at Tvornica kulture and transform it into a space full of romance and atmosphere.
Those who don’t like Valentine’s Day but who have nothing against celebrating love can do so in an alternative way at Dom sportova, where AntiValentinovo 2 will be held, starring legendary rockers LET3 and Psihomodo Pop.
Hopeless romantics looking for a more peaceful atmosphere can share their love on one of Zagreb’s “Love Benches”, such as those on Trg Kralja Tomislava (in front of the main railway station), or exchange kisses in the “Place for a Kiss” at the viewing platform in front of the Lotrščak Tower in the Upper Town.
