Visiting Pécs: The Zagreb Festival of Light Announced

The Zagreb Festival of Light was presented at the the Zsolnay Light Festival in the Hungarian City of Pécs, which was an excellent opportunity to announce the new Zagreb edition of the event to take place in spring 2022.

The Zagreb Festival of Light was part of the Zsolnay Light Festival in the Hungarian City of Pécs which took place from 30 September to 3 October this year. It was presented by the installation entitled Eggo Trick Light Art, which is the work of a renowned light designer Dean Skira. The installation, which symbolises life, resembles a Fabergé egg whose diameter is 3 metres and the height is 5.4 meters. It was presented at the Zagreb Festival of Light in 2019 and attracted a lot of attention. This visit was an opportunity to announce the Zagreb Festival of Light in spring 2022.

The Zsolnay Light Festival, the first of its kind in Hungary, takes place in the Medieval centre of Pécs, which is part of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list. Its light installations have great artistic value. The festival offered a string of interactive, entertaining and educational activities which also combine various types of art with an eventful programme. They brought international acclaim to the Light Festival in Pécs.
