World Rally Championship: The World’s Best Rally Drivers Are Coming to Zagreb

In April Zagreb and Croatia will host the World Rally Championship, which will gather the best drivers of the world so there will be plenty of fast driving, adrenaline and impressive spectacles.

Croatia Rally, which became a part of the calendar of the World Rally Championship (WRC) in October last year, will take place from 22 to 25 April this year. This will be the first time Croatia welcomes the best rally drivers of modern times and becomes the 34^th country in history to host WRC. Some eighty crews are expected to compete for new points and positioning in the world rankings.  Speed tests will be driven in local roads in Zagreb, Karlovac and Krapina-Zagorje County, while the start and the finish of the race are located in Zagreb.

For the best rally drivers, Croatia will be the third from the total of 12 stops this year. Twenty-two speed tests will take place on more than 300 kilometres of race track. The fact that the World Rally Championship, an outstanding sporting event which brings a combination of high technology and driver’s skill, will take place in Craotia is a major achievement and a challenge and an opportunity for it to present its rich tourist and gastro offer.
