On November 12th, the British pop star Marc Almond will perform at Lauba as the guest at the big party organized by Yammat FM, where he will present his latest album – “The Velvet Trail”. The internationally renowned artist has been a part of the world of music for more than three decades, and throughout his career he has released some thirty albums. In the late 1970s he met David Ball, with whom he founded the successful electro duet “Soft Cell”, which earned him global fame. The band released four albums, including a cover of the 60s song “Tainted Love”, which broke all music records as the single that remained on Billboard’s Top 100 Chart for the longest time ever. After the breakup of “Soft Cell” in 1984, Marc Almond dedicated himself to solo projects. Apart from releasing solo albums, he developed a successful cooperation with musicians of various genres, including Nick Cave, Siouxie, Jools Holland, Bronski Beat, John Calle, Baby Dee, Little Annie, Ferry Corsten, etc. In 2001, the group Soft Cell reunited.
Marc Almond’s concert and the DJ performance will be broadcast on Yammat FM at 102.5 MHz and via an online stream, while the radio station will also be giving away tickets to the concert.
