Zagreb Whisky Fair – An Event for Whisky Lovers in the Plaza Event Centre
More than 3000 whisky lovers expected at the fourth Whisky Fair.
The fourth Whisky Fair will be held in the Plaza Event Centre in Zagreb on 9 and 10 February. The organisers expect a record number of visitors, over 3000, and the widest range of whiskies yet.
Held for the fourth time, Croatia’s one and only whisky fair will gather leading whisky manufacturers, importers and distributors who will offer visitors their finest offerings. You will be able to enjoy more than 150 whiskies at promotional prices, you can buy a bottle of your favourite drink to take home with you, and on Saturday 10 February a whisky auction will be held.
The festival’s numbers speak for the fact that there are more and more admirers of this drink in Croatia. For example, there were around 1000 visitors to the 2016 fair, while just one year later that number doubled. The number of exhibitors and whisky brands is growing every year, with 30 brands exhibited in 2015 to more than 100 in 2017. During the first three years at the festival you could try Scotch, Irish, Canadian, American and Japanese whisky, and some special bottles such as Japanese Nikka From the Barrel, Taiwanese Kavalan Sherry Cask, Glenfiddich 50 and the exceptionally rare 1976 Port Ellen. Last year’s festival introduced something new – a “guest drink”, which was gin. Whichever drink is this year’s guest, one thing is for certain – the biggest gathering of whisky lovers will delight all.
