The month of September always brings life back to the streets of large cities. Zagreb is no exception. A typical September atmosphere returns to the city streets as its citizens come home from holidays and school children start a new school year. There are also exhibitions and trade events at the Zagreb Fair and increasingly fervent business activities. But the picture would not be complete without the colors of the foliage season and the smells of grilled corn on the cob, roasted chestnuts and new wine which filters through the air and heralds those very special fragrances and an atmosphere typical of the end-of-the-year season.
