Many of the cultural, entertainment, tourist, business and sporting events that were opened or launched in our city during late September will continue throughout October.

Each of us has a preferred season. For many citizens of Zagreb and their guests, autumn is the season of choice: it is still warm enough to sit outside and enjoy an alfresco drink or meal while the air is full of colours and fragrances.
 
A Cultural Event
Placido Domingo and the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra at the Arena
On October 21st, the Zagreb audience will have an opportunity to enjoy yet another music treat at the Arena: a concert by the famous tenor, Placido Domingo, with the backing of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra. Tickets for this event will certainly be in high demand. (more)
 
PSSST
The 5th Festival of Silent Film
Between the 11th and the 13th of November, the Trešnjevka Culture Centre will be the venue for PSSST, the 5th Festival of Silent Film. This competition is open to the public and anyone who has the necessary equipment to make a silent film is invited to participate. (more)

Museum of Arts and Crafts
Exhibition “Architect Ignjat Fischer”
Until October 23rd, the Museum of Arts and Crafts will feature an exhibition, “Architect Ignjat Fischer”. This exhibition is dedicated to the first man to design unique structures in Zagreb as well as the rest of Croatia; his works greatly influenced Croatian architecture of the 20th century. (more)
The Perforacije Festival – a week of Performance Arts
The International Festival of Theatre and Performance Arts
The citizens and guests of Zagreb will soon be able to enjoy yet another edition of Perforacije: an international festival of performers, dancers and theatre artists who will present themselves to audiences at numerous locations around the city. Furthermore, the organizers of the festival, which will be taking place between the 20th and the 29th of October, have announced “The Night of Performances” as a special surprise. (more)

9th Zagreb Film Festival
90 Titles in Seven Programmes
This year, the ninth edition of the international Zagreb Film Festival will be taking place between the 16th and the 23rd of October. It will feature 90 debut films by filmmakers from all over the world and the films have been divided into seven categories; some of the featured films are this year’s award winners from the Sundance and Cannes festivals. The festival will also feature a diverse concurrent programme. (more)
