Dear citizens and guests of Zagreb!
By celebrating Christmas and partying on New Year's Eve with family members, friends and close associates, we said goodbye to the year which abounded in many interesting cultural, sporting, tourist and social events.

If one is to judge by the abundance of events leading up to the festive season and to the festivities surrounding the end of the year holidays, we can look forward to an interesting and action-packed 2012. According to the announcements received to date, Zagreb can expect many visitors, and they, in turn, can expect to have a lot of fun in Zagreb.

A new Tourist Information Centre at the main bus station
In late December 2011, the fourth Tourist Information Centre was opened at Zagreb's main bus station. Thereby, all the most important hubs in Zagreb with the highest frequency of travellers have now been covered.
 
UEFA Futsal EURO 2012
The European Futsal Championship
Between January 31st and February 11th, Zagreb and Split will be hosts to the UEFAFutsal Euro 2012 in which the 12 best national teams from the old continent will be competing. Considering that the Croatian team is also taking part, it is certain that the atmosphere in the stands will be heated.

The seventh Museum Night
For the seventh consecutive year, many of Zagreb’s museums will take part in this year’s cultural event “Museum Night”, which will take place on January 27th. On that night, visitors can look forward to numerous surprises and many different programmes.

Glenn Miller Orchestra in Zagreb again
Although Glenn Miller has not been among the living for almost 70 years, the good old swing rhythms popularized by one of the most prominent musicians of the early 20th century will again bring the audience of the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall to its feet. On 13th January, do not miss the Glenn Miller Orchestra, which will perform in Zagreb as part of their regional tour “In the Miller Mood”.

The Archaeological Museum
The Neanderthal Trail
Until February 15th, the Zagreb Archaeological Museum will feature an exhibition: The Neanderthal Trail. It has been conceived as a cultural and tourist itinerary; an invitation to visit the most impressive archaeological sites featuring remains of the Neanderthal culture in Croatia.
