Once again, summer is upon us but there is certainly no shortage of cultural events and entertainment opportunities in Zagreb. If anything, their offer is even richer and provides an even more important contribution to the overall atmosphere in town. A majority of events have temporarily abandoned their usual indoor venues and moved out onto the streets of Zagreb where they highlight the atmosphere.

The 41st International Folklore Festival
The Most Important Folklore Event in Croatia
TThe main square of Zagreb, the Ban Josip Jelačić Square, as well as the Gradec open stage, will be central venues of this year's International Folklore Festival, which will be held for the 41st time this year between the 18th and 22nd of July.

IAAF Grand Prix Zagreb 2007
World Track and Field Athletes Return to Hanžek
The annual IAAF Grand Prix Zagreb athletic meeting, which the Football World Cup pushed to the end of August last year, will once again take place at the regular date. The 47th edition of the Zagreb meeting, the popular "Hanžek", will be held this year on the 4th of July at the Mladost Stadium and it begins at 18:30.

The Classical Grammar School of Zagreb was founded back in 1607. During the four centuries of its uninterrupted activity, the school has fostered and managed to preserve its classical curriculum featuring Latin and Greek languages. Today, it is again active as an autonomous and independent educational institution.

The Regent Esplanade Zagreb
A Zagreb Hotel Receives Valuable Recognitions
The managers of Zagreb's Regent Esplanade Hotel have recently been presented with two valuable and world-acclaimed awards. The hotel has been awarded the Superbrands Status by the Superbrands International Tourist Organization, whose logo it will now bear as an additional guarantee of its quality. Also, it has become the first Croatian hotel to be conferred with the prestigious International 5 Star Diamond Award.
