The month of December is special for all of us; it is the time to take stock of the year that is drawing to an end and make plans for the one that is ahead of us. The poignant mood that we all feel is boosted by the festive atmosphere in the streets and squares of our city, the crowds of shoppers looking for those special gifts and the same sweet expectations are in all of us: is next year going to be better, happier, are our lives going to be different, with less worries and more joys?

In the spirit of world championships
In the beginning of January of next year, Zagreb will again be host to the best skiers in the world who will be participating in the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup “VIP Snow Queen Trophy”. Zagreb will also be one of seven Croatian cities that will host the World Handball Championship.
The Art Pavilion
A retrospective exhibition by Milivoj Uzelac
Until mid-January of next year, a retrospective exhibition by Milivoj Uzelac will be open at the Art Pavilion. More than 120 paintings and drawings, gathered from various museums and private collections, will be exhibited as an anthology of the artistic activity of one of the greatest Croatian painters of the 1920’s.

International Festival of Wine and Culinary Art
In order to promote table culture, the 3rd International Festival of Wine and Culinary Art was organized at The Regent Esplanade Zagreb Hotel. Wine aficionados were able to sample 800 types of wine and even try archive wines over 50 years old.
