Zagreb Walking Tour

The best of Zagreb

Zagreb is a city with a thousand years of history. The remnants from the Middle Ages, baroque, secession, modern and socialism are visible on its streets, its buildings and parks. Zagreb was the home of ruling bans, its streets saw the beginnings of revolutions, its attics were the birthplaces of numerous works of art. This sightseeing tour will show you all the best features of the capital city: from Jelačić Square, Kaptol, Dolac and the Upper Town up to the green Zrinjevac.

Jesse Eisenberg (actor) spent the autumn in Zagreb in 2007: Zagreb is an incredible town. I enjoyed sightseeing the old parts of the town, and at night I went to clubs. I was thrilled that it was near Austria and Italy, so I visited Venice, Milan, Ljubljana, Graz, Split... over the weekends.

I remember Zagreb as a beautiful city, and the people I met were very nice and offered me a warm welcome. The audience was wonderful as well. Really, that concert has been like a lovely souvenir.

I was very looking forward to coming to Zagreb, especially because my mother travelled with me. My people found out everything about it, so that we could see the main stuff in the city!
