WESTGATE Shopping City - The largest Croatian shopping mall.

Located west of the City of Zagreb, WESTGATE Shopping City is the largest Croatian mall, occupying 226,000 gross square meters and with 100,000 m2 of retail space. The total of 270 million euro was invested in this international project by investor groups FOCUS INVEST GmbH, Braunsberger Holding and PlusCity/Shopping Center WESTGATE Zagreb Beteiligungs GmbH, and it was built in record time of only 15 months. Westgate mega-mall, opened in November 2009, with 3.3 kilometers of shop windows, represents a true fashion center accommodating about 240 stores and large brands like Zara (with 5 fashion lines), H&M, P&C, Marks & Spencer, C&A, New Yorker, Lacoste, Humanic, Drogeriemarkt, Müller, Intersport, Hervis, Technomarket (6000 m2 of electronic goods), Mercator (grocery store on 6000 m2) bio&bio, Kare design and many others. The Center is located 2.5 kilometers west from downtown Zagreb and is distinguished by strong focus on services and exceptional infrastructure: 7,250 parking lots (2,500 in parking garage), direct connection to A2 highway and four free bus lines. In the wide range of entertainment services the Center offers, among others, a large children KID'S WORLD playground on 4,000 m2, 22 gastronomy facilities, free inline skating terrain for kids and a bowling center.

    Jesse Eisenberg (actor) spent the autumn in Zagreb in 2007: Zagreb is an incredible town. I enjoyed sightseeing the old parts of the town, and at night I went to clubs. I was thrilled that it was near Austria and Italy, so I visited Venice, Milan, Ljubljana, Graz, Split... over the weekends.
