More than 50 digital nomads who chose Zagreb as a temporary or permanent destination to live and work, have recently participated in an event entitled Spring Fling, the first of four such gatherings within the programme "Zagreb Digital Nomad – 4 Seasons 2023". The goal of the project, which is organised by Swanky Travel Agency with the support of the Zagreb Tourist Board, is to familiarize digital nomads with all the possibilities offered by Zagreb and its surroundings during all four seasons.
The spring event was held in mid – March. During the three – day gathering, digital nomads from the US, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, India and other countries were familiarised with entrepreneurial options in Zagreb, visited co -working offices in the city centre and participated in a mini – conference dedicated to topics interesting and useful for their work. On the third day of the event, they went inland and visited Đurđevac, a place about a hundred kilometres from Zagreb, as well as the entire area. It surprised them with many attractive activities, which are less known among the international tourists. In addition to getting to know the destination, the three – day event was very important for networking and cooperation among digital nomads, which have already been established.
This three - day spring gathering has earned a lot of praise from digital nomads whose number in Zagreb is continuously growing. As main advantages of Zagreb, they emphasize the central location in relation to other European cities, excellent interconnectedness, attractive lifestyle, affordable prices and safety. They expressed special appreciation of the hospitality of the organiser and host of the event.
The next gathering of digital nomads within this project is scheduled in summer.
