5th Exhibition of Croatian Design

The great exhibition of Croatian design, which will be organized at Zagreb Fair from October 6th to 23rd, will feature a large number of works that will present a cross-section of domestic designers' productions over the last two years.

The “Exhibition of Croatian Design – 0708” will be held at Zagreb Fair from October 6th to 23rd. This is the 5th biennial exhibition which provides a cross-section of domestic designers' productions over the last two years. Since design today plays an important role in all segments of society, including economy and promotion, this display gathers a great number of exhibitors from the entire country, and aside from the usual categories, this year a few new categories have been introduced. As with previous exhibitions, at this year's exhibition the largest number of works will be presented in the category of design of visual communication – a total of 196 pieces. In the category of industrial/product design there will be 57 works presented, and in the category of “concept” design a total of 24 works. This year a new category has been introduced, modern and clothing design, in which there will be 6 works on display.
At this year's exhibition of Croatian Design the most attention will be paid to industrial design, which until now has had the weakest representation. Therefore, in that area there will be presentations of 30 realized projects. Most of them are related to the furniture industry using solid wood, while four of the design projects are based on small ship building.
