A Film Marathon Ends the Month

The rich film program features over 60 debut films. In addition to the competition, the public will be able to enjoy numerous other films.

Between October 21st and October 27th, Zagreb will host another film festival. As in the previous years, the 5th Zagreb Film Festival is to take place at the Studentski Center and Europa Cinema.

A total of 60 debut films will be screened as the main part of this year's program. Among them are 11 feature length movies, 15 short movies, and 12 to 14 documentaries from an international program and several newer Croatian films within the Kockica /Little Cube/ program. One of them will be awarded the VIP Audience Award. There are some novelties this year, such as the program 'Vip Bib for Kids', and a special program, Elections, while some old programs will continue, such as My first film, Club 100, and Matinee. Apart from the premiere of Michael Moore's box-office hit, 'Sicko' and other carefully picked titles, in this year's program, Matinee, ZFF will showcase the latest Cannes Film Festival laureate, '4 Months, 3 Weeks & 2 Days' by Romanian director Cristian Mungiu.  This year, ZFF continues with last year's side program, Club 100. In this section you will again be able to see successful European movies from Iceland, Hungary, Belgium, Switzerland and Finland.

Along with the aforementioned film programs, the Zagreb Film Festival will include numerous other events, book releases, presentations of film and culture projects, as well as concerts and parties. The Flash Film Award program of short flash animation is another program that the ZFF will continue this year.
